This week we are back with some trending news. VR games are back in news this week. Two of our top three topics are concerning VR games. And to be frank, in addition to porn, gaming has played a major part in familiarising and driving innovation in VR. Had it not been for gaming geeks Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and PSVR might never have existed.

As a result, there would have been no VR porn today. The trend seems to continue even today when gaming is slowing pushing the edges along with porn. Interestingly in today’s news, we also have an opinion piece on how VR porn is slowly changing people’s taste in erotica and porn flicks. So, enough of an introduction, time for the body (pun intended) –

#2: Sony PlayStation 5 Specs Leaked – Rumour

New VR Games in April, Sony PS5 Leaks and Changing VR Porn 1

Sometime back in December 2018, we heard some rumours of a European third-party developer creating a PS5 launch title. There was no evidence provided to back up these claims but the internet has rarely been one to verify. Sure enough, the rumours took hold.

The leaked specs mentioned these details for the PS5 – “specs CPU 7nm ryzen 8 core 16 threads, unknown speed. GPU 7nm Navi architecture around 14TF, its gonna be powerful and power efficient, Sony working with AMD for Navi, some sort of Ray Tracing but will not focus on that, more focus with VR and 4k, much better bandwidth overall 24GB Gddr6 + 4gb ddr4 for os,we have 32 GB dev kits”.

The fact that the leak shows Sony working with AMD can be believed since Sony has been working with AMD for some time. There have also been rumours of PS having ray-tracing graphics for future gen consoles. So, these aspects are somewhat in line with previous rumours.

Additionally, Sony’s focus on VR and 4K resolution also hold up since PSVR has become quite popular. Their VR space is growing gradually and it will definitely be one of the areas that Sony will target.

However, Jason Schreier of Kotaku recently said that “the number of people briefed on next-gen is still very limited,” and so it’s unlikely that a third-party from Europe would have a dev kit as early as December 2018. Schreier also mentions one interesting info. The PS5 can have more than 10.7 teraflops of power. This would mean that the PS5 would overtake Google Stadia.

#1: VR Porn Is Changing People’s Porn Preferences – Opinion

New VR Games in April, Sony PS5 Leaks and Changing VR Porn 2

As time passes, it seems that VR porn is moulding people’s perceptions with respect to porn preferences. Before VR, most of the users would prefer hardcore, anal, milf and teen porn. However, with VR coming into the fray, we saw how women POV developed. In fact, it’s the POV that has forced even staunchest of hardcore lovers to enjoy a bit of erotica.

I have always been one for the erotica. There’s much more to porn than just an orgasm. But what is interesting is that the focus on one performer alone has slowly accustomed viewers to more engaging and interactive porn. A large number of sites working with women POV, striptease, software and sensuous porn is increasing gradually. But this shift in trend shows that there’s widespread acceptance. This would also mean that the content on existing sites would start to shift slowly. Exciting times lie ahead for VR porn!
